Local Authority Building Control (LABC) represents all the local authority building control teams in England and Wales. As a member we work cooperatively with building owners, homeowners, architects, plan drawers, developers, building contractors and other professionals to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient to meet the standards set by the building regulations.
We ensure these standards are met through plan assessment and site inspections carried out by our building control surveyors who all have a thorough knowledge of the building regulations, local conditions and other relevant British standards, codes of practice and guidance.
When a project is completed satisfactorily we will issue a completion certificate to the homeowner/developer to confirm that the works carried out met the building regulations standards and were regularly inspected by us.
